Heated Blankets
every brand-name heated throw, bed blanket and heated mattress pad we track, one row each. filter by type first, since a couch throw and a queen pad do different jobs, then sort by the auto-off timer to find the ones that last a whole night, or by heat settings if you're fussy about a degree. blank warranty cells mean we couldn't confirm a term, not that there isn't one.
| 6.9 A solid, stain-resistant basic with preheat and dual zones, but only five settings and little independent testing to lean on. | Mattress pad | 5 | 10 h | Quilted polyester | 5 yr | ||
| 7.2 Bob Vila's luxury pick: wires you can't feel and a useful one-hour preheat, held back by just five settings and some early failures. | Mattress pad | 5 | 10 h | Quilted cotton blend | 5 yr | ||
| 6.6 Twenty settings and the deepest skirt here for tall mattresses, but a weaker owner rating and repeated reports of one side failing within months. | Mattress pad | 20 | 10 h | Quilted cotton | 5 yr | ||
| 5.8 The plushest face here and quick to warm, but a fixed two-hour shutoff and only three settings make it a nap blanket, not an evening one. | Throw | 3 | 2 h | Faux fur | 5 yr | ||
| 7.3 Twenty fine-grained steps, dual zones and a silky reversible build; owners are split on whether it actually runs warm enough. | Blanket | 20 | 10 h | Plush / sherpa | 5 yr | ||
| 7.9 A best-seller with preheat, dual controllers and a sherpa back that hides the wire; warranty terms are the one thing Bedsure doesn't spell out. | Blanket | 6 | 10 h | Flannel / sherpa | – | ||
| 7.6 The best-selling throw adds preheat and a 10-hour timer; Expert Reviews found it hot but thin, with cold corners, and no published warranty term. | Throw | 6 | 10 h | Flannel / sherpa | – | ||
| 5.6 Light and soft with dual controls, but controller failures and early deaths show up often in owner reviews, and the timer is basically all or nothing. | Blanket | 10 | 10 h | Micro plush | 5 yr | ||
| 7.7 Owners report quick, even heat and a good fit on deep mattresses, with a 12-hour timer; the controls draw the most grumbling. | Mattress pad | 10 | 12 h | Microfiber | 5 yr | ||
| 7.5 Ten levels, a 12-hour timer and dual zones with a soft sherpa side; the short cord and patchy heat are the recurring complaints. | Blanket | 10 | 12 h | Fleece / sherpa | 5 yr | ||
| 8.2 Dense wiring gave Bob Vila's testers fast, even heat with no wire feel, plus a waterproof top and a 12-hour timer; the skirt is the shallowest. | Mattress pad | 10 | 12 h | Waterproof poly-cotton | 5 yr | ||
| 5.2 Good paper specs, but a thinner review record, unlit controllers with no memory, and owners who say it never gets very warm. | Blanket | 10 | 10 h | Micro flannel | 5 yr | ||
| 8.6 The most-reviewed pad here pairs 12 settings, a 1-to-12-hour timer and dual zones with a cotton top; Mattress Clarity's best dual-control pick. | Mattress pad | 12 | 12 h | Quilted cotton | 5 yr | ||
| 6.8 Twelve settings and a 1-to-12-hour timer on two controllers, undercut by stiff, easily felt wiring and a middling owner rating. | Blanket | 12 | 12 h | Microplush | 5 yr | ||
| 7.0 Soft and well reviewed in volume, but owners split on whether it gets warm enough, and some report it cutting off well before four hours. | Throw | 4 | 4 h | Microplush | 5 yr | ||
| 8.3 Reviewed's best overall: thick sherpa hides the wires entirely, it warms in about five minutes, and a five-year warranty backs a big, well-rated sales record. | Throw | 4 | 4 h | Mink flannel / sherpa | 5 yr | ||
| 7.8 A long-running, very widely bought fleece throw with a five-year warranty; thin fabric lets you feel wires, and some owners report early failures. | Throw | 4 | 4 h | Fleece | 5 yr | ||
| 8.1 Bob Vila's best lap throw: flexible wires, a memory function and a timer to 10 hours; the top setting runs hotter than most people need. | Throw | 6 | 10 h | Flannel / sherpa | 5 yr | ||
| 7.4 Owners rate it highly and the sleeves and foot pocket keep heat on you, but only the body is heated and no warranty term is published. | Wearable throw | 6 | 10 h | Flannel / sherpa | – |
How the AI score works, and who wrote it
A language model rated these, not a test lab. Every score from 1 to 10 is an AI assessment of how good the product is against the other 19 in this comparison, formed from the specifications we verified plus the published lab reviews and owner reception found while researching each one. Nobody at Slopsheets listened to, wore or plugged in any of it.
It weighs the things a spec table cannot show: how a product is actually reviewed, how well the software works, build quality, and what you get for the money. That is deliberate. An earlier version of this column was pure arithmetic on the table and it ranked a bundle of cheap boxes above a class-leading single unit, because counting hardware is not the same as judging it.
Treat it as an informed starting point and read the sourced comparison, not as a verdict. The score is relative to this comparison only, so it means nothing across categories, and it carries no price, star rating or review count. Every specification behind it is sourced and checked; the score on top of them is opinion.
Frequently asked questions
What size is each product on this sheet?
Throws are listed at their standard 50 by 60 inch size, and every bed blanket and mattress pad is listed at queen. Specs like dual controls depend on size: twin and full versions of the same blanket usually come with one controller instead of two.
Why are some warranty cells blank?
We only fill the warranty column from a page that states the term. For the Bedsure throw, the Bedsure queen blanket and the Westinghouse wearable, no listing or manufacturer page we checked gave one, so the cell stays empty rather than guessed.
Can every heated blanket here go in the washing machine?
The listings for these models say they're machine washable once the controller and power cord are unplugged and detached. Check the care label for cycle and dryer settings, since some makers ask for a delicate or gentle cycle.
Is a wearable heated throw warmer than a regular one?
Not because it's wearable. The Westinghouse wearable has the same six heat levels and 10-hour timer as Westinghouse's regular flannel to sherpa throw. The sleeves and foot pocket just keep it on you while you move.
