Privacy policy

Last updated July 25, 2026

This policy explains what information Slopsheets collects when you visit this website, why, and what you can do about it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not ask you to create an account or hand over your details to read anything here.

Information we collect

You do not need to give us anything to use this site. There are no reader accounts, no newsletter signup, and no contact forms that store what you type. If you email us, we hold that email and our reply so we can answer you, and nothing more.

Analytics. We use PostHog to understand which pages people read and which links they click, in aggregate. This runs without cookies (it stores an anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage) and it collects the page you viewed, the referring page, and coarse technical details such as browser and device type. It honors the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals: if either is switched on, analytics does not run at all.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs, including IP address and user agent, for security and reliability. These are kept only as long as needed to operate the site.

Cookies and advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

This site serves advertising through Google AdSense. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.

For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's partner sites policy.

Affiliate links

Some links to products on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something after clicking one. Clicking an affiliate link passes a referral identifier to the retailer so the sale can be attributed to us. The retailer's own privacy policy governs what happens once you land on their site. Affiliate relationships never change a price you pay, a product's rank, or a measured specification. See our terms for the full disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent. Because we collect so little, this usually amounts to your analytics data and any email correspondence. Write to us and we will action it.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be called out on the page rather than slipped in quietly.
