You want to buy one air fryer and the internet hands you four hundred of them, all five stars, all reviewed by accounts born yesterday. Slopsheets exists to collapse that mess into a single sortable table so you can see which products actually differ and how.
What we publish
Every post is a spec-by-spec comparison of competing products in one category. The products are lined up on the same attributes, in the same units, in one table you can sort. That normalized table is the thing we make that nobody else does: individual reviews are everywhere, but a like-for-like field comparison usually isn't.
How a comparison gets built
- Scope. We survey the category and decide which attributes actually separate the products, then fix that set as the category's schema so every product is measured against the same columns.
- Research. Each specification is checked against primary sources: manufacturer documentation and spec sheets first, then independent lab testing from publications that run real measurements.
- Write. The comparison is drafted against that verified data, with the sources cited inline and collected in a "Sources and further reading" section at the end of every post.
What we don't do
- We don't run a test lab. We don't measure suction or decibels ourselves. We aggregate published measurements from people who do, and we say who they are and link to them. Where a comparison relies on someone else's testing, that is stated in the text.
- We don't invent specifications. If a number isn't sourced, it isn't in the table. A blank cell is better than a confident guess.
- We don't cover no-name products. A product qualifies only if it comes from a recognizable brand and has a strong rating across a credible volume of reviews. Most of what trends on a marketplace fails that bar, which is rather the point.
- We don't sell placement. No brand can pay to appear, to rank higher, or to change a measured specification. See our editorial and affiliate terms for how the site is funded.
Corrections
Specifications change and sources go stale. If a number here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and update the post: [email protected]. Corrections are the fastest way to make this site better, and we would rather be corrected than confident.
