Foldable Phones

every foldable we track, flips and book-styles in one table. filter by form factor first, then sort by folded thickness to find the one that pockets like a normal phone, or by IP rating if it's going anywhere near sand. the battery column is capacity, not runtime, so treat it as a rough tier.

Foldable Phones · spec comparison
Apple iPhone Duo8.2 Reviewers praise the display, hidden crease, IP68 rating and battery life that edges the Fold8 on Engadget's test, but it is thick and heavy. Book 7.6 in 5.4 in 11.3 mm 254 g 4,883 mAh Apple publishes runtimes only; capacity per GSMArena and Tom's Guide. IP68
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold7.3 The first IP68 foldable with good battery life, but it is the heaviest and among the thickest here, and its chip lags rivals. Book 8 in 6.4 in 10.8 mm 258 g 5,015 mAh IP68
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold7.6 IP68 and seven years of updates are real advantages, but reviewers rate its battery life as only decent and its crease as the most visible. Book 8 in 6.5 in 10.1 mm 239 g 4,806 mAh IP68
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold6.4 Big bright screen and a subtle crease, but it is heavy, charges slowly, and two newer Pixel Folds do the same job better. Book 8 in 6.3 in 10.5 mm 257 g 4,650 mAh IPX8
Honor Magic V57.5 Still one of the thinnest, lightest book foldables with fast charging, but it throttles hard and is an import in the US. Book 7.95 in 6.43 in 8.8 mm 217 g 217 g; some finishes weigh 222 g. 5,820 mAh Global typical capacity; the China model is 6,100 mAh. IP58/IP59

Motorola razr 20267.2 Still the best mid-range flip for battery and design, but middling performance and almost no upgrade over the cheaper 2025 model. Flip 6.9 in 3.6 in 15.85 mm 188 g 4,800 mAh IP48
Motorola razr fold8.7 Record book-style battery life on Tom's Guide's test, a full-size cover screen and seven years of updates outweigh its heft and patchy zoom camera. Book Best in column 8.1 in Best in column 6.6 in 10.04 mm 243 g 6,000 mAh IP49
Motorola razr ultra 20257.7 Nearly the 2026 Ultra's battery life and speed in the same body, which makes last year's model the smarter buy now that it is older. Flip 7 in 4 in 15.69 mm 199 g 4,700 mAh IP48
Motorola razr ultra 20268.3 The longest-lasting foldable Tom's Guide has tested plus flagship speed and a 4-inch cover screen, though it barely changes last year's model for more money. Flip 7 in 4 in 15.69 mm 199 g 5,000 mAh IP48
Motorola razr+ 20256.6 Its 4-inch cover screen is the highlight, but the smallest battery here gave only middling results in GSMArena's testing. Flip 6.9 in 4 in 15.3 mm 189 g 4,000 mAh IP48
Motorola razr+ 20266.8 Lovely design and a great cover screen, undercut by a recycled chip, a price rise and shorter update support than Samsung or Google. Flip 6.9 in 4 in 15.32 mm 189 g 4,500 mAh IP48
OnePlus Open5.2 Once a top foldable with a faint crease, but it is three years old, only splash-resistant, hard to buy new and near the end of its updates. Book 7.82 in 6.31 in 11.7 mm 239 g 239 g; some finishes weigh 245 g. 4,805 mAh IPX4

How the AI score works, and who wrote it

A language model rated these, not a test lab. Every score from 1 to 10 is an AI assessment of how good the product is against the other 20 in this comparison, formed from the specifications we verified plus the published lab reviews and owner reception found while researching each one. Nobody at Slopsheets listened to, wore or plugged in any of it.

It weighs the things a spec table cannot show: how a product is actually reviewed, how well the software works, build quality, and what you get for the money. That is deliberate. An earlier version of this column was pure arithmetic on the table and it ranked a bundle of cheap boxes above a class-leading single unit, because counting hardware is not the same as judging it.

Treat it as an informed starting point and read the sourced comparison, not as a verdict. The score is relative to this comparison only, so it means nothing across categories, and it carries no price, star rating or review count. Every specification behind it is sourced and checked; the score on top of them is opinion.

Frequently asked questions

What does the IP rating on a foldable actually protect against?

The first digit is solids, the second is water. IP48 blocks objects over 1 mm and survives fresh-water submersion, but fine sand and dust can still reach the hinge. Only an IP6x rating (IP68, IP69) means dust-tight, and only a handful of foldables here have one.

Is a flip or a book-style foldable more practical?

A flip is a normal-size phone that folds smaller, so it suits people who want less phone. A book-style opens into a small tablet, so it suits people who read, multitask or edit on the go. Flips are lighter; book-styles have the bigger screens.

Why are some cover screens so much smaller than others?

On a flip, the cover screen is limited by the half-size outer panel, so it runs from about 3.4 to 4.1 inches. On a book-style, it is a full phone screen, and makers choose between narrow (about 5.4 inches) and full-width (about 6.5 inches) designs.

Why is the iPhone Duo's battery figure attributed to a third party?

Apple publishes runtimes, not milliamp-hours, so that cell's capacity comes from GSMArena and Tom's Guide rather than from Apple. Every other row uses the maker's own figure where one is published.

How is the AI score different from the spec columns?

It is a model's judgment drawn from published reviews, weighing measured battery life, software support, crease, durability reports and value against the rest of this table. It isn't hands-on testing, and it can rank a phone differently than its raw specs would.
